PictureRiver 1.7.2.0 is a screensaver for Windows computers. Unlike many other screensavers, PictureRiver is really designed for you to take your pictures out of storage and use them with the application. By default, there are some pre-loaded pictures that you can find in the settings. However, using your own pictures is so easy that it would be a waste not to try that. To add pictures, simply go to the Images tab in the settings and select a folder or a picture. The application will search for pictures in folders and subfolders. And you can add them individually as well. What you can do with those pictures is what is really interesting. You can not only create simple slideshows of your pictures, but you can also configure the application to display more than one picture at the screen at the same time. There are several transition effects available and, obviously, you can tweak the transition of pictures. You can tell the application how many seconds to wait before displaying another picture and what effects to use. By default, PictureRiver 1.7.0.2 supports most popular image formats, and with its plug-in support, you can easily add more formats should you need to. In short, this is not the cheapest way of creating photo screensavers, though it certainly is a good one.
